Stepping Stones Preschool Program Options

For the 2007-2008 school year

Stepping Stones is a Christian preschool where every child has a chance to learn and grow. Our mission is to help our students prepare for elementary school both academically and socially. Classes meet from September 2007 through May 2008. Each of our classes consists of 10-12 students and one teacher. A floating aide is available when a teacher or student needs extra help. In addition, we have an Alphabet Teacher who works with every class for 20 minutes each school day.

MT Transition Class – Children must turn 3 years old no later than January 31, 2008. They must be potty trained by the start of school. Class meets
  • Mon./Tues. from 9:15 am to 12:00 pm This class is an introduction to school with a balance between learning and social play time.
PM Transition Class – Children turning 3 with birthdates falling between July 2007 and January 2008. They must be potty trained by the start of school. Class meets
  • Wed./Thurs./Fri. from 12:30 pm to 3:15 pm This class is an introduction to school with a balance between learning and social play time.
3 year olds – Children must turn 3 years old no later than September 30, 2007. They must be potty trained by the start of school. Classes meet
  • Mon./Tues. from 9:15 am to 12:00 pm
  • Wed./Thurs./Fri. from 9:15 am to 12:00 pm
  • Wed./Thurs./Fri. from 12:30 pm to 3:15 pm Each 3 year old class lets the children experience the joy of learning and making new friends in school.
4 year olds – Children must turn 4 years old no later than September 30, 2007. Classes meet
  • Wed./Thurs./Fri. from 9:15 am to 12:00 pm
  • Tues./Wed./Thurs./Fri. from 9:15 am to 12:00 pm
  • Tues./Wed./Thurs./Fri. from 12:30 pm to 3:15 pm Each 4 year old class gives students various opportunities to help them prepare for Kindergarten. Teachers focus on both academic and social kindergarten readiness skills.
Pre-K class – Children must turn 5 years old no later than December 31, 2007. Priority is given to children who turn 5 prior to September 30, 2007. Class meets
  • Mon./Tues./Wed./Thurs./ Fri. from 9:15 am to 12:00 pm This class has a strong emphasis on academics and will include reading groups, music time, cultural activities, additional field trips and lunch bunch every Monday.
Extended Day Options
  • Music Class – Our music teacher, Miss Debbie, teaches a music and movement class where the children have an opportunity to sing, move and try many different instruments. Classes meet once a week. Morning students stay until 1 pm and afternoon students arrive early at 11:30 am. Classes will be offered to 2 day a week students on Monday and Tuesday. 3, 4, and 5 day a week students on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
  • Lunch Bunch – Students bring their own bag lunch and eat with a teacher. Morning students stay until 1 pm and afternoon students arrive early at 11:30 am. Available for 2 day a week 3 yr. olds on Tuesday, 4 day a week and 3 day a week students on Tuesday or Friday. Please remember we are peanut butter and peanut free.
